About Jack
Jack Shea is a professional stage and film actor and director, actor trainer and coach, and Professor Emeritus in Theatre Arts at Westfield State University. He earned Master of Fine Arts degrees in Acting and Directing from UCLA, studying under George Schaefer, Michael McLain, Delia Salvi, Salome Jens, et.al., as well as a Master of Arts in Critical Theatre Studies from UCLA. He earned a bachelors degree in History from Stanford University, graduating with Distinction and Phi Beta Kappa. He studied acting privately for many years with many fine trainers, and earned certifications from the Michael Chekhov Association (MICHA) and the National Michael Chekhov Association, studying with Joanna Merlin, Mala Powers, Lenard Petit, Ted Pugh, Fern Sloan, Phelim McDermott, David Zinder, Lisa Dalton, et. al. He has played roles ranging from classical tragedy to farce. He resides in Richmond, Virginia with his actor wife, Ashley Shea, and their rescue Border Collie-Labrador mix, Lana.
